Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Enquiry

How do I enquire about a piece?

Send us a message through the enquiry form. Please include the work reference or your shortlist and, if you can, your country, an indicative budget and your preferred timing. We reply directly by email or WhatsApp with current availability, price and the most useful next step. An enquiry does not reserve a work.

Can I see a piece before I decide?

Yes. You can ask for a private viewing: a live video appointment, or a focused recorded viewing of the actual work. Tell us which piece interests you, your questions, and a time window with your time zone, and we will confirm a suitable time by email or WhatsApp. You can ask to see the overall scale, front and reverse, surface, rim and foot, object mark, condition and packaging. Afterwards you receive a written response covering the details discussed, current availability, a private quotation and delivery. No payment is taken when you request a viewing.

How do I get the price of a work marked “Enquire for price”?

Some works do not show a price online. To receive the price, send us the name or reference of the work through the enquiry form, by email or on WhatsApp. We reply with its current availability, the price and the next step.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Payment is arranged for each order and is set out in your written quotation or order confirmation. An order is formed only when you accept the quotation and payment is received as it states.

Shipping & Delivery

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship wherever a suitable carrier and route are available. Please tell us the destination country or region in your enquiry, and we will confirm whether we can deliver there. Packing and delivery charges are shown to you before payment.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery time depends on the work, the destination and the carrier route. The expected dispatch window is stated in your written quotation, and tracking details are shared once the carrier has collected the work. Delivery dates are estimates and can move because of customs, weather or carrier disruption.

How is porcelain packed for travel?

Every work is packed for the individual object and the route it will travel, with protective inner packing and an outer carton or crate where required.

Who pays customs and import duties?

Unless your quotation says destination charges are included, the recipient pays import VAT, customs duty, brokerage, storage and any other charges at the destination.

What if a piece arrives damaged?

Please inspect the outer package before accepting it, and note any visible damage on the carrier's record. Photograph every side of the unopened package, the label, the inner packing and the work, and keep all packing. Report the damage within 72 hours of delivery by emailing your order reference and photos to contact@craftedwondersart.com; hidden damage should be reported as soon as it is discovered. An unedited unpacking video helps but is not required. Depending on the case we will offer repair, replacement, an agreed price adjustment, or return and refund, and we cover reasonable return costs when a work arrives damaged.

Returns

What is your returns policy?

In-stock works can be returned for change of mind if you contact us within 7 calendar days after delivery. The work must be unused, in the condition you received it, and returned in its original packing once you have our return instructions. You pay the original delivery charge and a tracked, fully insured return shipment. When we have received and checked the work, we refund its price to your original payment source within 14 calendar days, although your bank may take longer. Made-to-order, personalised, altered, specially sourced or reserved works cannot be returned for change of mind once work has begun or the reservation is confirmed. Please contact us before sending anything back.

Craft & Authenticity

Is every piece really hand-painted?

Our works are hand-painted Jingdezhen porcelain. Each piece is shaped from clay, decorated with a brush, glazed and fired in the kiln, and our Craft page follows the process step by step.

Why do two pieces of the same design look different?

The brush follows the curve of each piece, and the kiln changes what came before it, so no two works are exactly alike. Small differences in line, in the way colour sits under or over the glaze, and in the fired surface are part of a hand-painted object, even within the same design. If you would like to see the piece you would receive, you can ask for a private viewing.

Where are the pieces made?

Our works are made in Jingdezhen, the porcelain city in Jiangxi province, China, where the clay is prepared, shaped, painted, glazed and fired. You can see the studio and kiln stages on our Craft page.

How do I care for and clean my piece?

Handle porcelain with both hands and support it from the base, not by the rim or a handle. Clean it gently by hand with lukewarm water, a little mild soap and a soft cloth, and dry it before storing. Avoid abrasive cleaners and sudden changes of temperature. Please do not assume a work is food-safe, microwave-safe or dishwasher-safe unless its own page says so.
